What We Look for During a Post-Storm Inspection
Our 40+ point post-storm protocol covers: shingle damage patterns (hail bruising, wind lifting, cracking), flashing displacement at all penetrations, ridge cap and hip cap integrity, gutter and downspout damage, soffit and fascia condition, vent and pipe boot damage, skylight seal integrity, chimney flashing condition, valley and transition points, and interior signs of moisture intrusion. We also survey ground-level soft metals (AC units, mailboxes, car hoods) to establish hail size and impact velocity.
How Often Should You Get a Post-Storm Inspection?
We recommend a professional inspection after any storm that produces hail of 1 inch or larger, sustained winds over 60 mph, or visible debris on your roof.
